Everything was great Ribs tips Mac & Cheese, Brisket, Chicken all cooked and grilled to perfection. Banana pudding was five star.
I absolutely love coming here. The food is always flavorful and mouthwatering. The service here is great. You can never go wrong ordering anything off the menu. I have so many favorites from the menu that it's truly hard on what I like the most. Their macaroni and cheese taste like true home cooked Mac. The yams, my goodness, are packed with sweetness, so be prepared to enjoy it with a kick of sweet in your mouth. The seafood salad is one of my favorites. The catfish is fried but soft at the time. The beef ribs are a reason to go back as well. The strawberry drink man oh man, be careful not to eat a lot of sweets because the drink is plentiful of sweet. I love it. You can not go wrong with anything you order off the menu. The cornbread my oh my. Everything I listed, I truly go back for multiple times when I do go there. One thing for sure is if you like to share your food, I believe here is maybe one of the places to be selfish. It's hard to share when the food is so good.
Local but Famous spot. Found on Google and will definitely drive the hour to go back!! Ribs are delicious Sides are all good. Corn bread is light and fluffy. Everyone knows everyone at this spot. We all chatted and laughed while waiting for our food. Be sure to order strawberry lemonade . Their bathroom was super clean.
UPDATE! A year later and this is still my go to place! Today the fried catfish sandwich and the pork fatbox. And butter poundcake. All I can say is delicious! Still my favorite go to place! A YEAR AGO: I ordered online and needless to say, I arrived an hour later ( as requested) and the food was ready. I got the baked turkey wings, stuffins and collards and mac and cheese. Also a pork fat box with potato salad. The baked turkey wings were delicious and so were the sides. My only complaint..not enough stuffins..LOL..I should have ordered and extra side. The ribs in the fat box were tender to the bite and the potato salad was tasty. I am definitely coming back..
The barbecue is fantastic. Rib tips, pork ribs, brisket. You can't beat it. Lines are out the door and parking overflowing into the street. It's that good. Online ordering process could be improved. But other than that, the place is great!
Values and traditions never change especially with the hard and dedicated people that provide the best in service. The food at this establishment is made with nothing it love. I want to thank the owner for inviting me to this home establishment where I have been to the others. And I have to say the food gave me complete satisfaction in what down home cooking was. I would invite others to come to this vibrant down home cooking minority owned business. I will tell you this those ribs well leave your mouth open. Thank you for being a pillar in the community
Food was very good worth the wait and you just have to wash it down with that strawberry lemonade and to me that banana pudding just like grandma's the seem long however.
I LOVE the Seafood Salad!!! The Rib and chicken dinner is Amazing!!! The Cashier with the Braces has the most pleasant personality!!! Sorry I don’t know her name. Every holiday I make a trip there knowing that day my meal is going to be delicious . It’s a very friendly environment as you wait for your meal. U meet really nice people
